On Friday, the Bernie Sanders campaign personally delivered a bit of hope to Deborah Gilbert of Davenport.
She and her family never saw it coming.
“We were just flabbergasted!” Gilbert says. “I think that’s the only word for it, just flabbergasted.”

Now in hospice care, Gilbert’s dying wish is to attend her first caucus Monday night to support Bernie Sanders.
