Clinton Camp Claims Narrow Victory over Sanders/ SBS Camp Says Not Comfortable Yet

USA Today, Feb, 2, 2016, 2 hrs. ago.

DES MOINES — Hillary Clinton's campaign claimed a slim victory early Tuesday over populist firebrand Bernie Sanders in the Iowa caucuses, though his spokeswoman said the results were not settled.
With all but one precinct reporting in Iowa, Clinton clung to a sliver of a lead over Sanders early Tuesday.

In a statement, the Iowa Democratic Party said the results were the closest in Iowa democratic caucus history, with Clinton so far awarded 699.57 state delegate equivalents and Sanders awarded 695.49 state delegate equivalents.
“We still have outstanding results in one precinct (Des Moines — 42), which is worth 2.28 state delegate equivalents,” the statement said.

Clinton’s campaign declared victory early Tuesday.
Clinton's Iowa campaign manager, Matt Paul said in a statement: “Hillary Clinton has won the Iowa Caucus. After thorough reporting — and analysis — of results, there is no uncertainty and Secretary Clinton has clearly won the most national and state delegates.”

However, Sanders' spokeswoman Rania Batrice noted that one precinct in Polk County remained outstanding, and said there were questions about the results in several other counties.

"We definitely don't feel comfortable yet," she said early Tuesday.

1. I'd say there is plenty of uncertainty. A Coin Toss? Come on.

Delegates awarded by coin toss. This election could come down to that. Also 1 % not yet reporting plus shenanigans of precinct chairs in 90 districts in Polk County not turning in their numbers until wee into the morning. I'd say that Iowa 2016 will forever be in doubt.

Just another notch on the belt of the long list of questions...many of them, not all but many, about HRC.

This called attention to Bernie, perhaps even more than a win. Coin tosses, recounts (how do you do that when the people went home) I watched little, but did see when the eye-rolling PC was forced to call a recount. Did he? Nope. He asked for a verbal Yeah or Nay. Guess which one won.

I'm of the same opinion of someone else this morning...why have the first primary in a small, white, rural, cold in winter flyover state? Imagine if the blizzard had hit that day, All that money poured in...to end up in a coin toss. Trying to get the college students to drive home to vote shows how archaic this form of voting. Unreal.

First we throw DWS out and come together on a well integrated state, where weather is not an issue and is big enough to mean something. Not Texas or California, but something in between them and Iowa.

could have destroyed money, time, people and other resources. Unreal, and antiquated, esp. in this 'advanced' tech era.
