(7,499 posts)they made several jokes about his appearance and style. Are they in Hillary's pocket too?

(1,021 posts)It's almost as if some of my fellow Sandernistas are actively looking for things to be offended about. The Weekend Update segment? C'mon. They compared HRC's outfit to Kim Jong Un! They make fun of people. That's what they do. I thought the Curb Your Enthusiasm spoof was great, and Bernie did a surprisingly good job with his bit. Did you guys hear the applause when he came out? It was incredible.

(7,499 posts)among Bernie supporters is telling. I think everyone agreed the skit with Hillary as the bartender was clever, but the skits about or with Bernie were a bit off.

(14,691 posts)I'm up way past my bedtime and cranky - HOWEVER I and apparently some others didn't like the first skit. You did. Doesn't mean we're just looking for something to not like.

(279 posts)Bern Your Enthusiasm was hysterically funny.
It was a straight plot from Curb with spot on characterizations.
The sketch on the ship was great too. Lots of laughs in the early part and a nice segue into Bernie's abbreviated stump speech.
Two interesting aspects, in my opinion, were making the distinction between socialism and democratic socialism and the fact that they were immigrants.
I would mention to those of you who feel burnt by the satire that our favorite candidate is liable to experience harsher criticism before it's all over.
Relax. Bernie has made his rite of passage on SNL. He's a superstar.
