Axelrod's comment about Clinton campaign...

Rachel Maddow described this as a nasty comment. Seems to me he is speaking the truth about a very flawed candidate and very flawed family representing the Establishment. Hillary is damn lucky Elizabeth Warren is not in this field or the Clinton campaign would be dead in the water with no gender card to play.

We dumped cable and went to Netflix and Sling long ago. So, I haven't watched any MSNBC for a long time, except for some Morning Joe snippets.

How did Rachel Maddow get so far from her original authentic self?

Hillary Clinton? Seriously?

Rachel was more left than Keith Olbermann. What happened to her?

What happened to all of MSNBC? Did the network decide that being liberal wasn't cool or profitable any longer? Are they trying to appeal to centrists?

It's really strange.

I don't have a TV, but used to catch her on the online feed for Air America. Loved her. I still like her when I catch snippets on YouTube and stuff.
IDK what's with her shilling for Hillary. Bosses orders and she needs the paycheck? Woman vote? I'm not gonna throw her under the bus, because she was real good for a long time. But I'll take what she says through this election with a large block of salt.

She had lots of friends who were H supporters and they were not too happy with her coverage that they deemed too nice for him. I got the feeling that she was really on the fence between the two of them.

I understand why there are people who want a woman president and how it can trump everything else. I don't agree with it, but I get it.

I do think that if one really has strong emotions on issues, that should really have more weight in deciding who will lead the country, or the state or the city. It matters who you elect and if they don't square with what is morally important to you and you decide against voting for someone who is closer to your stand, then I do have a problem.

H supporters laughingly say we throw people under the bus. I counter, I believe they throw Democratic issues under the bus.

...that pretty much sums up what has happened to Maddow and many other good people in the Democratic Party. Corruption is hard to fight and a lot of people just go along to get along and advance their careers. Bernie is one of the very few that has stood up against the corruption and as a result, 99% of the party machine is against him. I wonder why that is? He points out the very hard truth that no one in the Establishment wants to hear.

But according to the Clintonists, we are all just a bunch of conspiracy theorists and there is zero truth in what Sanders says. Pretty damn obvious from the truly grass roots donations and support in the polls (after starting at close to ZERO) that his message resonates with the public. Also pretty damn obvious from his track record over 50 years that he has more integrity than either Hillary or Bill Clinton. They do not like this ugly truth.

It was so obvious it's embarrassing. Tweety & Rachel seemed to be leaning strongly toward Bernie, then BAM! they flipped overnight! The word must have come down from Wall Street.

You usually change. And it is very hard for such a "successful" person to feel the anger that manifests itself in a bumper sticker that says "Fuck This Shit."

I remember about a decade ago when she made the transition from radio to cable TV -- she was a very different person. And like all Hillary supporters, she just thinks she's being "realistic."

Their mental block is a bizarre faith in the stupidity of people. They literally cannot imagine that you can win an election in the USA with the ideas of Franklin Roosevelt.

Same with Paul Krugman lecturing us about how change happens -- he cannot believe that we can win enough elections to get anything from Congress.

It is pathetic.

I don't think Rachel has said she is voting for Hillary or that she endorses her. But I agree that the Rachel on Air America 10 years ago would not let Hillary off the hook so easily while interviewing her.
