Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont emerged as the Democrats’ big winner of the wee hours on Tuesday, with 17 votes in total, while Hillary Clinton received nine.

On the Republican side, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Donald J. Trump and Gov. John R. Kasich of Ohio each had nine votes.

Honored to have the unanimous support of the people of Dixville Notch. First votes cast in the #FITN.

In the GOP realm, Kasich is picking up steam it seems. My step-dad is going to be surprised - he’s pretty close with him and thinks he’s "too weird" to be president. Seems like the best of that bunch as far as I can see (thought that’s faint praise indeed), certainly he seems the most normal, but I am told that his staff is terminally unhappy and that there is a marked absence of personal loyalty to him in Ohio, which seems like that would make him a centrist version of Cruz.

Will be interesting to watch today.
