(2,603 posts)Bernie might be different though. They might just burn it to the ground than risk the change Bernie is fighting for.
It's our job to win with overwhelming support. That can happen if we continue to fight.

(2,603 posts)If Bernie gets out of March and starts April with broad support and a good lead we should start to see those super delegates announcing they are switching their vote in order to hasten the end of the primary and prevent further damage from what will be an endless onslaught of lies from the Clinton cabal.
All we can do is continue what we have been doing. Getting the vote out for Bernie. If we have a lead in polls of 20% we need to make sure people fight for 25% instead of getting lax and not attending their caucuses and elections.

I'll be happy to support Hillary if she wins a fair fight -- I said that in 2008, and I say it today.
The main reason why Hillary couldn't "take it to the convention" in '08 was because her final numbers weren't anywhere near Obama's, and the main reason why her superdelegates bailed was because most of them had their own jobs to hold onto. That's why we're seeing all these intimidation and demoralization tactics.
Bernie -- a "grassroots activist"? A fine way to describe someone who's been in Congress since 1990!

(2,603 posts)He's proposing real change and has the record to prove he'll actually fight for it.
Those super delegates not only think about their current jobs, but their future as CEOs, lobbyists, and possible speaking gigs. Bernie could put those futures or at least a portion of the vast profits they bring at risk as well.
Like I said, there is a very real possibility they will make the exception this cycle and burn down the party to save those futures.

She just confirmed that she hates democracy! That just confirms that she's unfit for party leadership or being a party representative in congress!

Superdelegates came about in 1982 long before DWS was in charge. Blame Jim Hunt

Hunt Commission
In 1981 Hunt chaired the Hunt Commission, named after himself, which established superdelegates in the Democratic National Convention.[3]
