Bernie Sanders visits Keene for first time as presidential candidate

U.S. Sen. Bernard Sanders brought his populist message to Keene Saturday, telling an enthusiastic standing-room-only audience that politics is not about candidates.
Its about you, he told the hundreds of people who crammed into the Keene Recreation Center on a beautiful summer afternoon to hear the Vermont independent seeking the Democratic presidential nomination.
The recreation center overflowed with people. Its parking lot was full, every seat was filled and the aisles were brimming with people standing. Crowd estimates varied from between 750 and 1,000, and those attending frequently chimed in with cheers and applause throughout the afternoon as Sanders spoke.
The crowd consisted of mostly Granite State residents of all ages, but all of them brought the same level of enthusiasm. The room erupted with cheers and applause as Sanders entered. Many people had their heads nodding and voiced their approval as he spoke....
