Please, please, please VOLUNTEER.

We don't have enough volunteers for canvassing, especially, and for phone banking. There are other ways to help, too, like data entry.

The hoardes of people going to Bernie's speeches aren't translating into boots on the ground (as much as I hate that expression), so don't think we don't need you.

Many of the houses we go to are undecided, and they admit it's because they haven't read or heard much about Bernie, though they like him. They ask about electability and his ability to get things done. We DUers are in a great position to do some 'splainin on these issues, even though just for a couple of minutes with each voter. And to put a live and local face on his campaign.

Especially if you live in a Super Tuesday state, this week after work and this weekend are super critical. Please sign up on his website under "events" or drop by your local satellite office. Even if you just have a couple hours.

This is our chance to help Bernie win. Be part of it, for real. You will be so welcomed and you will feel so good after.

People, this is it.

Can you please describe what's involved in "phonebanking"? Herman4747 Feb 2016 #5
It's pretty easy. They give you the numbers to call & a script. You are calling registered Dems. jillan Feb 2016 #6
Sure! You call voters whose names/#s are fed to you, you ask if they're planning to vote for Bernie, JudyM Feb 2016 #7

I can't do phone banking and I can't go door to door. Due to disability and illness both, I often cannot leave my home at all, and if I do, I can't be on my feet for any useful length of time. What little I can do on my feet must be for my own purposes - but I can do data entry.

Thanks

they'll give you more info about what's involved. They may need you to do it at the office, though.

Thanks!

You get a lot of people not at home, it's a numbers game (no pun intended).

Some places provide phones, other places you use your cell.

The first couple of calls you do feel a little off, but you quickly get into the swing of it.

It's easy - and can be fun.

and chat with them for a minute or two if they're up for it, to help them get what he's about. Then you just mark off whether they're for him or not. That's pretty much it. Way fun when you get a real supporter on the other end of the line.

I've done a couple of phonebanking shifts and organized two big watch parties; and I will do more.

Please, everyone, as we used to type in my old typing class, "Now is the time for all good {wo}men to come to the aid of their country."

NOW.
