Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWill Donald's VP be Christie or Cruz?
I know he likes Christie better (in terms of hiring lap dogs), but Cruz delivers the evangelicals. Big win in Texas last night.
I think our argument is that Bernie is not only a winner against Trump, but he wins even bigger when Cruz is involved.

(2,872 posts)it's no secret that the Donald isn't the most religious person on the block. Christie, sure, he might pull some people-- but Cruz has a much larger and more powerful moron magnet.

(32,090 posts)I don't see him going for an older woman, if he would work with a woman at all. I tend to think he wouldn't go that route.

(20,214 posts)He won with less than 44% of the vote in his home state. That means 56% voted for NotTed. That being said, I don't think Christie really brings him any votes, if that's what he's looking for. It may still make more sense to choose a VP from a swing state, so that would mean Rubio or Kasich.

(32,090 posts)he doesn't like Rubio much but he could push him around easily. He would like that.

(20,214 posts)evangelical deal every day. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I would want my VP to be someone who thought they were God's chosen person to be President. That could invite an assassination by one of Cruz's followers. I find Cruz far more scary than Trump.

(2,565 posts)He has said he wants someone who has been inside WA.
Kasich throws a bone to the REAL establishment, as he is the one in the debates who has sounded most reasonable.
He, by definition, makes Trump suddenly seem more reasonable.
And if Reagan could get passed the Voodoo economics to pick HW Bush (and bush could get passed everything to join with Reagan).. Kasich will do the same.
Oh yeah, he also hands Ohio to Donald on a silver platter and Donald dominates in Florida.
I know that ticket beats Hillary.. I am even a TINY bit scared it could beat Sanders as well, although I think Sanders has a much better chance.

(32,090 posts)and I do think he will beat Hillary easily.

(2,052 posts)Heck Rubio won at Falwell's college. Doesn't get more Cruz country than that. Cruz is a complete zero.
If it had ever been Hillary-Cruz I would lose my mind
