Bernie Sanders

WASHINGTON The more Democrats learn about Bernie Sanders, the more they appear to like him.
A greater percentage of Democratic registered voters view the Vermont senator as likable, honest, competent and compassionate than they did just two months ago, according to a new Associated Press-GfK poll. Seventy-two percent now believe he could win the general election, a 21 percentage point increase from the last time the survey was conducted in December.
The findings underscore the challenge facing Hillary Clinton as she enters the Democratic contests pivotal spring stretch, when primaries across the country mean that many of the partys voters will finally get their say on her candidacy.
Clintons campaign has argued that as voters learned more about his record, Sanders will begin to lose support. Instead, it seems that as Sanders has gotten more scrutiny, support for him has only grown. While Clinton continues to be the Democratic candidate whos most well-liked within her own party, Sanders is gaining on her.

That's a seriously nice little uptick!
Keep spreading the word friends! Fighting uphill against the corporate media is no easy task, but will make the ultimate prize of a Sanders presidency all the sweeter for the effort!

Some good numbers for Sanders in this article (which is actually by AP, with PBS reporting it). In addition to the above (72% think he can win the GE--a jump of 21 pts.), he got a 10 pt. jump in Dem voter favorable views (64 Clinton, 54 Sanders), with 10 pt jumps on other qualities, and a 9 pt lead over Clinton on "honesty."
Sanders polls MUCH better than Clinton in the general population, nationally. He beats Trump by 12%! (twice the % she does), and beats all Republicans, while she loses to Cruz and Rubio. If he can only get past the "superdelegates"--the corrupt Democratic Party establishment!

(10,751 posts)That is so important, because people hate to feel they are wasting their vote on someone who cannot be elected anyway.
