Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumMSNBC might as well be a Clinton strategy room.
After Bernie's Michigan win, I watched Rachel Maddow, Eugene Robinson, Chuck Todd, Brian Williams et al talking about Bernie's Michigan win for about 5 minutes (before I went "ugh..." and turned it off).
They reported Bernie's win with a sour face and low enthusiasm. The entire discussion was very low-key. And then they moved right on to what Clinton's strategy ought to be going forward where they brought up Sherrod Brown as her possible VP choice, because apparently, "people want Elizabeth Warren-type populist." What they don't seem to realize, however, is that he's not really a populist anymore if he's siding with the Clintons over Bernie.
They might as well be auditioning for the Clinton's strategist position. It looked like they were hoping that the Clintons might tune into them, think they're so smart, and give it a thought to Sherrod Brown VP pick.
They don't look like journalists. They look like Washington power-elite wannabes. It was a truly pathetic sight to watch.

You got that right!! I have a journalism degree and practiced my skill for a time so I know a real journalist when I see and hear one. These so-called journalists on CNN and MSNBC sully the term journalist...they are just political hacks dressed up as journalists by the corporate media they work for...ugh!!

(1,835 posts)They are Washington power-elite wannabes. They don't get that their wealth and haughtiness turn us off. They don't get that being a journalist isn't about strategizing or opining but about reporting the news to us.
At long last, they are propagandists, forcefeeding us the views of an unelected elite.

If Bernie wins I would really like to see him fight to resurrect the fairness doctrine.

(1,342 posts)Larry King is on interviewing a British comic and is talking politics (USA citizen...can't remember his name) and he played a clip that I was half paying attention too until... I noticed that there were mourners in a graveyard approaching a tombstone and when they got there, I heard "Mainstream Media Has Met Its Maker" then they showed the tombstone and the name on it was MSNBC. I googled and checked youtube and I cannot find the video.
