In Massachusetts, you must be registered Democratic or unenrolled to vote in the Democratic primary. In Massachusetts, you can register to vote and change your voter registration by mail. I believe the form is online and can be printed out. If not, call your city or town hall or the office of the Secretary of State and get a form mailed to you.
Also, if your polling place changes between now and the registration deadline, you will need to make sure the voting records reflect that. If any mix up as to polling places occurs, vote anyway. Your vote probably will not get a lot of attention unless and until the vote is very close. Then, it will matter.
More important than any of the above, work locally for paper ballots, starting yesterday. Massachusetts adopted them in 2004. If a city like Boston can vote by paper ballot, so can your city or town.
