Does that backfire on her? She was unsuccessful at that attempt. Now I give her credit for trying - but she failed.
Everytime she brings this up - the little voice in the back of my head says - she failed. I'm not so sure that that is something that helps her case. Am I being too critical here?

(4,797 posts)She knew what they were doing and told them to "cut it out" yet they still crashed the economy. It just makes her look ineffective and I'm surprised she keeps bringing it up.

(53,235 posts)it was admirable she tried. And I'm a Bernie supporter. Maybe because I'm old and remember her attempts, I see her mentioning it as a plus for her.

(23,664 posts)I agree it was pretty much a failure but it was so long ago that half the voters have already forgotten what a bust it was.
Unlike her more recent failures - like Libya, Syria, Honduras, Ukraine. This are still fresh in peoples' minds.
