Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) Returns!

One of the most important moves the United States can make in order to support labor unions is to equalize the "right-to-work" laws so that they become uniform between the many states. The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) would do that. When the Democrats returned to the majority in Congress in 2007, it was introduced for consideration. Senator Obama committed to helping pass the Employee Free Choice Act as President. In December of 2008, even before his transition team finished its work, Battering Rahm Emmanuel convinced Mr. Obama to abandon those plans.

Senator Bernie Sanders just committed, on the public record, to passing it. He states it at roughly the midpoint of this 10-minute interview which he gave to the Washington post after the Univisión debate of 3/9/2016:

right-to-work laws suck, is this bill suppose to get rid of ones in states that basically say you can be fired for any reason at any time?

If you can't see the benefits of organized labor, don't bother paying attention. I, for one, know the truth and am as dyed-in-the-wool pro-labor as they come. No amount of snarky cynicism from you will sway me in the slightest. Waste your breath if you wish. I know what a momentous commitment from Bernie this is.

I am also about as pro union as they come. I was responding to someone else's post, who mentioned right-to-work. It is more like right-to-be-a-slave.
Sorry about that.
