U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders plans to visit Charlotte on Monday, a few hours ahead of Democratic rival Hillary Clintons visit to the Queen City.
Sanders campaign announced Saturday that the Vermont senator will be at PNC Music Pavilion for a late afternoon rally. Entry to the venue begins at 1:30 p.m. RSVPs are requested.

Sanders visit is his first to Charlotte and comes after Fridays visit to the Triangle.
Charlotte will be ground zero for the Democratic race Monday, a day before Tuesdays presidential primary. North Carolina will be one of five key states, including Florida, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri voting that day.

(643 posts)I wish it had been announced earlier- need to figure out how to get out of work. Gates open at 1:30 but I wonder when the rally will actually begin. If it's late enough I might be able to make it. Anyone know?
