All Three Networks Ignored Bernie Sanders' Speech Tuesday Night, 'Standing By For Trump'

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/all-three-networks-ignored-bernie-sanders-speech-tuesday-night-promising-trump-would-be-speaking-soon_us_56e8bad1e4b0860f99daec81

As Bernie Sanders took the stage on Tuesday night, the cable networks continued doing what they do best -- talking.

Fox News, CNN and MSNBC all declined to carry Sanders' speech, instead offering punditry about the evening, with the chyrons promising, "AWAITING TRUMP" and "STANDING BY FOR TRUMP."

Earlier Tuesday, The Huffington Post's Michael Calderone reported that the media have collectively given Trump some $2 billion worth of free air time.

Anyway, here's the speech if you were looking for it. I think some of us needed it, which is why it was ignored.

Well, why would they want to play the Sanders speech with its anti-establishment tone full of actual policies backed up by facts when Trump's half platitudes/half infomercial speech was about to come on?! Will somebody please think of the ratings!

"All three networks." I know that Bernie wants to break up the big banks, but I haven't heard if he wants to do the same with the media. That would be a huge watershed moment in our fight, I think, if we were able to democratize the media. "The liberal media" myth is one of the biggest and worst lies of our time, IMO.

It's also understandable why he wouldn't bring it up right now. One utterance about it and the MSM would declare all out war on him.

However, with the way Bernie holds himself and presents his case, I have no doubt he'd kick ass and take names if the corporate media decided to pick a fight with him.

since the fairness doctrine was eliminated. They would spend that much tearing him apart with any lie or deception they could.

While the MSM is losing relevance, it's not gone yet. Millions upon millions of low info voters still depend on it for their information. Just look at the popularity of Fox as an example. Look at Rush, even after the boycott of him and his advertisers, he's still going strong and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him making a strong rebound if Trump wins the Primary.
