Last month I finally blocked a couple of the most, IMO, offensive sHills, but I was reading the rest in an effort to understand their perspective. But it's not worth the aggravation anymore. Lately I just end up feeling exhausted and dirty whenever I stumble into their bitter and entitled circle jerks.

I am now happily "ignoring" people - I have seen the spew, and am cognizant of it, and the spewers, and don't need to see it any more. In fact, it is kinda funny, thinking of some posters gloating to - no one but themselves.

until the convention.

I want to cast my vote. I will not be giving up.

I will, though, be taking myself elsewhere if the neo-liberal establishment is victorious. At that point, DU will have become irrelevant.

even this, but the gloating from the other side just reminds me that people in my life who are like that, I dump 'em. There is never a good reason to treat people that way unless you are just a selfish snot with no sense of community. There is no room in my life for people like that and that includes people from my very own side when there are sides. We all have that tendency but if you are actually adulting you have given that up.

They must have something missing in their lives to need to treat others that way. I would prefer a bad loser any day to a bad winner. They are acting like everything I detest about their candidate.

We ALL have that base trait, to taunt others, to feel better, to win. Adults learn to do it gracefully without rubbing others noses in the mess.

EDIT Damned spell check!

I used to wonder how anybody could support that woman in spite of everything that is wrong with her, all the issues has been wrong about. Then I realized they love her because of her ugliness, not in spite of it. It makes them feel good that the pain she is going to inflict will hurt so many people. They like that about her.

in many of those cases I totally agree but I just don't know which people would fall into that category. I don't want to know actually, it really disturbs me.

I had relatives like that before they died out, at one point I had had enough and told them I was never going to communicate with them again and I did not. They were horrible people.

I hate to think it is that bad but I know in my mind it really is in a lot of cases. When did so many lose the compassion and the knowledge that we need community to survive?
