Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders early Wednesday insisted that he will continue to campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination until the party's convention in July despite narrowed prospects.
"I congratulate Secretary Clinton on her victories on Tuesday. I also want to thank the millions of voters across the nation who supported our campaign and elected delegates who will take us all the way to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia," Sanders said in a statement.
With more than half the delegates yet to be chosen and a calendar that favors us in the weeks and months to come, we remain confident that our campaign is on a path to win the nomination.

(38,613 posts)She had victories that were extremely narrow, and what's coming promises to be even closer. They do not for ONE MINUTE think they have this election won.

(2,983 posts)Proud to stand for Sanders, proud to have a candidate for President I can support without holding my nose, or grimacing, or grudgingly voting for the lesser of two evils. A good, honest man - and I am thrilled to have him leading the way forward. This thing isn't over yet! We can still win.

(8,812 posts)They're acutely aware that more time means more gaffes and tone-deaf pronouncements and that the more Americans get to see and hear Hillary and fully grasp her warmongering, Wall Street policies, the less they like her.
It's exactly the opposite with Bernie. More time means more chances for his policies to resonate and lift the spirits of a demoralized American public so beaten down by corporatism that they no longer realize there's a better way. And it also makes it crystal clear that Sanders is the real deal, a politician who sticks with his populist, principles instead of endlessly pandering and triangulating.

(5,668 posts)in the idiot board that one can't reply to. that Bernie made a grave mistake going negative against Hillary. alas fantasy world. He hasn't lied in his ads about her yet. bend truths well duh but not even sure if he's done that. Except in debates. Which they both do. Her biggest mistake was going negative and thats why he's still in the race. People don't trust her and are proven right when she goes and attacks his character. Keep doing it Hillary Keep doing it. Why I don't know but keep doing it. Voters keep hoping you won't sooner or later one figures out when ones hand is in the fire the skin comes off

(39,909 posts)..since I joined the Democratic Party in 1967.
I will continue to do so whether Bernie is the Democratic nominee or not.
The Movement didn't start with Bernie, and it will not end if he doesn't win the nomination.
Bernie has gone WAY further than I ever believed possible when he entered the Primary,
has shaken awake thousands of Democrats to the issues and values we USED to represent, and still SHOULD represent. That won't go away either.
Thank You, Bernie and supporters, and I will continue to fight with you.

(5,400 posts)Senator Sanders is very electable, and if Secretary Clinton developed a health issue, physically or legally, our party wouldn't be in a riot if she chose to withdraw.
Now if only we really used this race to register voters.
