John Fetterman - in Pennsylvania, an underdog in the Democratic primary against 2010 Senate nominee Joe Sestak and Katie McGinty, former chief of staff to Governor Tom Wolf
Lucy Flores, a candidate for Nevadas 4th Congressional District, currently held by Republican Cresent Hardy
Tim Canova - the Federal Reserve expert challenging DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz in a House primary in Florida
Debbie Medina is in the race for State Senate in New Yorks 18th District.

but I think having many state and local politicians who are progressive can only improve areas like education, housing, crime, outreach to people in need, jobs/employment, etc.

I completely agree. And WHEN Bernie gets the nomination he will need a lot of help so these folks need to be elected into office.
