Bernie Sanders Supporters Take Aim at Hillary With #ToneDownForWhat

First, male political pundits accused Hillary Clinton of being “shrill.” Now, a top Clinton aide objects to the tone Sanders is using in his campaign ads—a fact that has resulted in #ToneDownForWhat trending on social media.

The hashtag is the product of a conversation between Clinton’s top strategist, Joel Benenson, and journalist Kate Bolduan on CNN’s At This Hour. Bolduan asked Beneson about Sanders’ wish to debate Clinton before the New York primary, and Beneson said that his negative tone is one reason why Clinton will not agree to another debate.

“This is a man who said he’d never run a negative ad ever,” Benenson told Bolduan. “He’s now running them; they’re now planning to run more. Let’s see the tone of the campaign he wants to run before we get to any other questions.”

Sanders’ fans have taken to Twitter to criticize the Clinton campaign:

Clinton camp: NY debate depends on Sanders' tone

"She's done well in the debates. The debates have been very good," Benenson said. "But Sen. Sanders doesn't get to decide when we debate, particularly when he's running a negative campaign against us. Let's see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then we'll talk about debates."

"Bernie, please tone it down with your fact checking and subtle suggestions toward the truth! I need to face Trump in the general!"

Raise your hand if you believe Trump isn't going to use Bernie's lines and then some with some extra shit, and then some lies thrown in.

If you are raising your hand, go to bed, you need sleep.

Fact is, if Hillary's supposed to be our fight against Trump, we're screwed.

Vote Bernie. She's showing exactly how she deals with criticisms of truth, imagine how it'll go against Trump the mad man.
