Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumAny NY Berners going to the rally tomorrow in da Bronx?
If my MRI is done on time I would like to go and was wondering if anyone else was going? I'd be coming in from the burbs and was wondering if anyone wants to do a meet up?

(43,853 posts)I'm not sure I'll get in because I can't head out until around 2. Doors open at 4 and I don't expect to get there much earlier than that.

(5,141 posts)I probably won't get there before 2pm either. It's in a park so maybe there is more room than we think? Want to climb a tree and watch?

(43,853 posts)I like the tree idea - it takes the Birdie Sanders thing to the next level!

(5,141 posts)It's bright yellow. Think anyone would notice?

(5,141 posts)I think i should be able to make it on time - I should be leaving White Plains around 1pm. I guess all I can do is keep checking the news to see how crowded it gets. Maybe I will see you there - I will check in tomorrow to see if you're going to be able to make it.

(43,853 posts)I'm going with a friend; her mother is going to give us a ride to the PATH. If everything goes ok with the trains, I'm hoping to be there by 3:30.

(5,141 posts)I had a brain MRI yesterday, and cervical spine tomorrow. Next week, thoracic spine. And my kidneys hurt from the contrast dye. Whoooopie! I'm still going to try to go anyway.

(5,141 posts)I've had 15 MRIs since July. Kill me now.

(14,691 posts)put yuuuuge pads on my ears. I heard a lot anyway of course. Sounded like a pile driver on steroids.
dorkzilla
(5,141 posts)And still my ears rang for hours afterward. Maybe because they were concentrating on my head and there isn't anything in there to muffle the sound.

(14,691 posts)brain after a mild stroke several years ago. It must have been beginners' luck because I had no idea what it entailed and I felt like just a detatched observer. It seemed like the Theme Park Ride from Hell. I was entirely inside the thing. They put big foam blocks under my legs so my knees were bent and I was on my back. Then they gave me a buzzer (panic button?) and said don't drop it - as if there were any room in there for it to go. Then they slid me in and I heard the door click. It was softly lighted and classical music was playing - until the thing got started. BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG... The juxtaposition of BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG with Beethoven - I thought it was all ridiculous. They slid me out after a while to check on me. "How are you doing?" "OK". I thought it was over . Nooooooo. Later I was told I did very well - I was in it around an hour.
The next time I needed an MRI - this time of my neck - even with my legs sticking out of it I FREAKED. So, next time I WANNA BE SEDATED!
Why do you need all that done?

(5,141 posts)Just diagnosed 7 months ago and going downhill rapidly. They're looking for new lesions. I'm not having a lot of fun in that big machine either but guided imagery really helps. I can make myself completely relax in there. Like "hanging in the beach" relaxed. Then they pulled me out of it and my ears buzz for hours.

(14,691 posts)diagnosed with it finally after years of misdiagnoses. I think hers was the kind that was intermittent. She (NYC native) moved from Florida to NC because the weather was better for her there.
The two kinds of MRI machines i've been in must have been the older models. (The first one, maybe was an antique! LOL)

(5,141 posts)Going to try to find a place to rent in Ireland for the summer. It never gets over 70-72 in the summer. I've always just felt healthier there...my skin and hair look great and I just feel better in general. I'm going to move there eventually...within 5 years probably, if I live that long.

Is there a website I could track Bernie rallies in NYC?
