From my former Democratic Congressperson, Tim Bishop, who I donated to so we wouldn't lose the seat to a Republican. (we lost the seat, partly because he was seen as out of touch, having done a questionable favor for a donor, and spending too much time with the big donors in The Hamptons)
I googled a generic link to the event, rather than use the one in my email, fwiw.

It was the loss of voters from the bottom 90% that cost us that seat. Grrf! No lesson learned, apparently.

(25,285 posts)How can they not feel betrayed by their candidate when they see how many organizations have her in their back pocket.
When a book is written about the 2016 Race For The White House it will be titled 'The Buying Of The President 2016'.
And we call this a democracy.
We have a 'political revolution' going on and that is the way Bernie is funding his campaign - through 'We The People'.
That is the real Political Revolution.
Folks we have one chance to get this right and take back our Democracy - and that is to make Bernie our next President.
Go Bernie!!!
Feel The Bern!!!!

(17,651 posts)She won't want most of us unclean, noisy, no bs taking, observant scalawags anywhere near her.
Heck, she had the po-po cordon off an entire block at one of those swanky, stanky fundraisers - just to keep "us" away!

(5,400 posts)Tonight Hillary Clinton is hosting two high-dollar fundraisers where some attendees at one event will pay $2700 each to get a photo with her. I'm sorry to say that is not what I'm offering.
I have a rally in the Bronx tonight to speak to voters before the New York primary. But because we run our campaign a little differently, I have a proposal for something else.
We're going to hold a fundraiser right here, right now, across America. And my request is to please make a contribution of $15 to help raise us the funds we need to win in Wisconsin, win in New York, and win the Democratic nomination for president.
We're trying to raise more money this month than we did last month. We're still short of our goal, but I know that with your contribution right now, we can hit it.
Contribute to our campaign today to help us match our February fundraising numbers

So, there it is, that's our fundraiser. Thanks for being a part of it.
In solidarity,
Bernie Sanders
