EarlG -- The General Discussion: Primaries forum is now open. Here's what you need know --

If you were at DU during previous Democratic primaries, you'll recall that we filtered discussion of the primaries into a separate forum. We are going to do that again this time around. Here's what you need to know.

1. The Politics 2015 forum has been renamed General Discussion: Primaries and is now for exclusive discussion of the Democratic presidential primaries. Any new threads about the Democratic primaries MUST be posted in this forum. (Note: threads about the Republican presidential primaries are still permitted in General Discussion.)

2. Threads about the Democratic presidential primaries are now NOT PERMITTED in the General Discussion forum.

3. When you attempt to start a new thread in either GD or GD: Primaries, you will be prompted with an interrupt page to make sure you're posting in the right place.

4. If you post your thread in the wrong forum, be aware that Forum Hosts cannot move it to the correct forum. If the Hosts come to consensus that your thread is in the wrong place, it will be locked. It is up to you to make sure you are posting in the correct forum.

5. If you are sick of discussions about the Democratic presidential primaries, you can use the "trash forum" feature to hide those threads. To do this, go to the General Discussion: Primaries forum and click the "Trash this forum" button found near the top of the page. (Note: you can choose to undo this at any time.)

Thanks for reading,

So - anything about any of the candidates goes into this forum and/or their group? djean111 Jun 2015 #1
In the individual candidate groups or GD: P(rimaries) MerryBlooms Jun 2015 #2
Thanks for the clarification. I was still seeing some threads about candidates, but they must have djean111 Jun 2015 #3
My guess is there will be a short grace period, then hosts will start locking. MerryBlooms Jun 2015 #4

Any thread in GD about Clinton or Sanders gets locked. You can repost it in GD : P

But threads about the republicans stay open.

Have I got that correct?

Its a slugfest. Boring and predictable. I'd rather hang out here and get ideas going about how we're going to make Bernie president.

whether it's politics or any other topic, that's just not my cup of tea.

I love the Bernie group and how positive the hosts have kept it-- I think they're doing a super job!
