(5,069 posts)even when Clinton supporters were celebrating the WSJ/NBC polling data last week that had Clinton ahead (75 to 15) - lurking below those numbers were figures indicating positive-negative impressions of the candidates. Sanders, a relative newcomer to most of those interviewed, was virtually unknown and that's what the 75-15 split indicated. But of those who knew Sanders, his approval was always in the positive numbers....Clinton on the other hand had positive vs. negative impressions about equal....And it's hard not to know who Clinton is.
I've always maintained that Clinton's negatives were her greatest liability.
And it's not just Claire McKaskill who is playing Clinton's cat's paw....O'Malley just today launched an ad against Sanders on Sanders' gun control record....It's so obvious where O'Malley, a 2008 DLCer/Clinton supporter, is coming from....It's almost equivalent to John McCain's 'hail Mary pass' act of desperation in selecting Sarah Palin as his running mate.

(5,069 posts)Bernie's popularity is related to the issues (ECONOMICS). They keep explaining Clinton's downward trend because NH is a neighboring state......neglecting the high turnout in states like NV, CO, etc.
Disgusting coverage - but good news - especially after the news from the infamous NBC/WSJ numbers...
