Actor Tim Robbins backs Bernie Sanders in Manitowoc

http://www.htrnews.com/story/news/local/2016/04/04/actor-tim-robbins-visits-manitowoc/82629224/

Actor and activist Tim Robbins wants Wisconsin residents to vote with their hearts in Tuesday's presidential primary.

"I just encourage people to believe that their vote matters," said the Academy Award winner. "This is still a primary and you have the right to vote for whoever's closest to what you believe in."

Of course, Robbins is hoping voters' hearts tell them to vote for Bernie Sanders.

The actor — best known for "Shawshank Redemption" and "Mystic River" — was stumping for the democratic candidate throughout the state Monday, including a brief stop at the Manitowoc for Bernie campaign headquarters.

"I just want to say how inspired I am to be here to see ... how many people are working for this victory tomorrow," he told the crowd of a few dozen people. "It means something. It matters that you care ... about a real change instead of perfunctory one."

There was no mention of either "Guam" or "sheep". It was a decent article about the Sanders campaign in Wisconsin.

But if you want to blast someone's celebrity backers, there's always Madeleine Albright's ringing endorsement of Hillary ("special place in hell for women who don't support women candidates&quot and Gloria Steinem ("young women are only supporting Bernie because they're looking for boyfriends&quot .

Keep it up, Madeleine and Gloria!
