I volunteered with my KC Bernie group last night - at a food bank!

The Kansas City for Bernie Sanders group helped bag 938 'back snacks' - bags of food schoolkids can take home in their backpacks on weekends, when they're not getting school lunches. Back snacks are what we've usually done on our previous volunteer forays. One time, we were sorting and bagging sweet potatoes donated by local farmers; donated produce goes to places like soup kitchens and shelters.

This is what I love about working for Bernie Sanders, the fellowship, the willingness to cheerfully pitch in for the community.

Please share your own experience with local Sanders campaign groups.
