Anti-Donald Trump voters coalesced around Ted Cruz in the Wisconsin presidential primary, raising the specter of a ceiling for the GOP frontrunner. In the Democratic race, young voters and men handed Bernie Sanders a fresh chance to exploit Hillary Clintons vulnerabilities on style and substance alike.

Sure seems to me that Bernie is gaining support and Clinton is fading. Maybe it's my dislike for Clinton but losing 6 of the last 7 states and 13 of the last 18 makes me believe she's in trouble. Especially with a 20% turn around (loss) in Wisconsin over the last 2 weeks.
She was leading Bernie by 6% just 2 weeks ago in Wisconsin. She lost by 14% last night. Even in a closed primary there's no way that can be seen as good.

(5,400 posts)Regular donors for Secretary Clinton might be hitting the $2,700 limit (her donors are fewer but have given more), so now she'll have to rely more heavily on PACs/Super PACs. That does get noticed, plus it's news when she has to fly away to court big donors.

(975 posts)I read last month that most of her small donors have already maxed out. Something like 70% or more. That will become a problem just like it did in 2008 when she used $13M of her own money.
One thing Bernie's donor base is doing is making Clinton work. She's not able to just slide by when he's out raising her at every turn. More money means more ad buys. And I don't see it ending for Bernie anytime soon.
