Kind of obvious - and true- - By giving poor people more money, thats better for the economy than giving money to rich people. Because of "the velocity of money". Poor people re-spend it faster- rich people don't.

especially when talking about the minimum wage. demand would surge because those dollars would get immediately spent, over and over.

it's a recession...
He is not speaking in the second person plural i.e., 'our' lives. The reason nobody (other than Bernie Sanders) is talking about it is that it is happening to 'Them'.
