Four ounces moves a thousand pounds.

4盎司移動一千英鎊

Bernie's recent counterattacks on Hillary using tit-for-tat methods
which mirror her own seems a poor strategy. Bernie was lured into this
type of combat and it's a trap. He did not emerge stronger as a
result and his words, by his own admission, did not carry any truth.

One of the reasons people have gotten behind Bernie is that he walks
his talk and has stayed focused on his primary purpose to speak to
issues. Now that so much force is being arrayed against him he is
becoming like them rather than staying centered in himself. It's
certainly understandable, but this reaction is fear-based and shows weakness.

There is a saying in Tai Chi - 4 oz. moves a thousand pounds. It's
about taking your opponent's energy and using that momentum against itself
by deflecting, redirecting or simply stepping aside. Without this ability to land
a direct punch, so to speak, the opponent falls forward or becomes unbalanced
...uncentered and is overcome by their own motion.

Essentially it's giving Hillary the rope to hang herself. Or as in the cartoon
Peanuts when Charlie Brown attempts to kick the football that Lucy then simply
removes at the last second.

In the end Hillary's means of attack define her, not Bernie.

This is not an easy thing to learn or do which is why it must be mastered. But I think
Bernie has essentially already mastered it and doesn't realize or trust it.
However he is being ill-advised to go against his nature in this battle with Hillary.
He needs to stick to who he is and stay centered in that, respond rather than react from that
still point.

That's my 4 ounces...

I agree completely. I hope he stays centered at the debate.

His biggest strength has always been truth, he should continue using that.

You described what I've been thinking. I have been calling it political Jiu Jitsu. When that Greenpeace activist unhinged Hillary, it was very clear to me that it only takes a tiny input to destabilize, if it's the proper one.

I appreciate that you've helped me realize there are others pushing on Bernie. It's his call in the end, so this reflects on him. He might have harder situations in office. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are probably pushier than Sanders staff.

He's not perfect, but he's our best chance.

on another news program reiterating that if Hillary swings at him he'll swing back.
I think he may be getting that advice from his inner circle, and I hope he will
think twice about taking it.
