now in advance of the critical NY Primary April 19-- eg the Crime Bill, Sexism, 'Qualified?' AND the recent set up, distorted NEW YORK DAILY NEWS interview and article that intentionally made Bernie seem he wasn't clear on his economic plans to break up the BIG BANKS, which many economists agree with. It's Fact.
>Take a few minutes or Bookmark for later this excellent discussion by two leading US economists, William Black and Michael Hudson who explain the issues, Krugman's MO and how the recent Sanders interview went down. Well worth the time, explains it all. Rating A.

(41,146 posts)the facts and didn't read the NY Daily News hit piece will backfire. The editorial board of that rag knew exactly what they wanted by throwing in 'The FED' for confusion. Right away the M$M, and now HC's Campaign that's in serious trouble is slicing and dicing the interview completely for smear. It's foolish.
Last week, watching Barney Frank, Clinton surrogate and board member of NY-based Signature Bank struggle and go berserk trying to counter Robert Reich by essentially shouting 'Hands OFF the Big Banks!' was also an amazing performance.
This show host I've seen before but don't know his name or group. I like his style.

(41,146 posts)like his life depended on it, and it showed and backfired. Years back when I worked at the National Archives part of my job was dealing with Congressional offices to arrange trips to the site for their DC visiting constituents and VIPs on occasion which was interesting. Nice to all the Reps., I made an effort to be helpful to Barney's staffers when they called as well.
In Jan. 1993 at the Illinois State Inaugural Ball, Barney Frank was one of the people encountered with some friends in govt. I was with. Semi-pleasant in the brief greeting to several folks in my group Barney barely grunted at me. Silly me, I thought my attire might be an issue although I try to dress nicely, or I thought it might be my lack of some 'status'. Back then I wasn't very familiar with Frank or his overall gruff manner.
Earlier that night I'd also run into a close friend of my little brother from New York. That was such a welcome surprise, and a real treat since my dear brother died of AIDS that October just before the Nov. election of Bill. Hadn't thought of that evening for a long time, for obvious reasons.
