Just wondering...why did the campaign wait until MONDAY to file suit against NY state election laws?

Last edited Tue Apr 19, 2016, 05:47 PM - Edit history (1)

They've known this was an issue since at least September-shouldn't they have filed the suit THEN?

(on edit...yes, I now KNOW it wasn't the campaign who sued...just wanted to leave the thread title in place for reference purposes since it explains some responses in the thread).

Well, it turns out that voter purges could have affected up to 126k people, so... quite a few. Bubzer Apr 2016 #9

This raises another question...why DIDN'T the campaign challenge the early re-registration cut-off in court, and challenge it back in September? It's hard to believe they didn't know it was an issue.

Election Justice USA did: https://www.facebook.com/ElectionJusticeUSA/

It's worth noting that there are confirmed anti-Bernie operatives who have infiltrated Bernie's campaign.
It's possible that there is an effort to keep the campaign from launching a lawsuit over this.

I wonder if the ludicrous timing is actually some sort of an infiltrator effort to submarine us?

Given how horrifically ugly this campaign has become, that would not be surprising.

Any idea how many potential voters this may affect?

Hopefully, the Sanders campaign is buying ads in NY advising potential voters of this.
