Yep...right on cue

Just like they have been doing for a while now...

"Bernie should drop out".

Assuming HRC gets the nomination wouldn't it be better for Sanders to go into the convention with as many delegates as he can get in order to influence the party platform and party direction?

And if this is true are not the HRC supporters really saying "fuck you" to the real Progressive wing of the Democratic Party?
A sizeable wing that they will need to overcome the GOP onslaught come November?

Or at least the DOJ won't proceed.

I think they don't really care if the Democratic Party wins in November, just as long as control of the party doesn't change hands to a non-corporatist.

From what I understand the primaries are not over until both major parties have identified a clear nominee.

Well that won't likely happen until July.

The FBI then has HRC arrested and with the perp walk on world wide TV. She is naturally bailed out and continues her campaigning with less of a turnout than she has now. She may win, the Republican may win, who knows. But her term in office will be spent giving depositions if she wins.

the DOJ, not so much.

The problem for her is:

There is no best case scenario. No way the FBI comes out with a completely clean bill of health. They aren't going to say she did nothing wrong, nothing at all to see, she was unfairly treated in the media, she's completely innocent.

The FBI report will have damaging info in it. I'm willing to bet the report gets leaked in full or in part. My guess is it says there are these issues but we don't have enough to proceed (that said, I don't really see many FBI reports so it's pure speculation).

Other stuff is dragging on: the FOIA lawsuits (sounds like 30+ suits), the Guccifer trial will be in September. Did they recover any more emails that get to be released?

Did I mention this is going to drag on and there is going to be more stuff coming out?

And of course this ignores the possibility they may recommend an indictment. If they recommend an indictment and the DOJ ignores it, who the fuck knows what goes down.

Of course there are those who want her because it's good for business.

But the vast majority are simply fans who mostly care about seeing their star win.

Like KISS fans, who felt smitten year after year, because KISS was being overlooked by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for so many years. Not that even they really believed that KISS was actually one of the best bands ever, it was all about the injustice of having to wait so long when it should have been their turn years ago.

But Bernie comes along, and he's like a political Jimi Hendrix. People hear him, IF THEY'RE WILLING TO LISTEN, and get blown away. Jimi doesn't go to the HOF immediately (those spots are reserved for the "founding fathers&quot , but he does go as soon as it makes sense. No waiting 3 decades.

And the Clintons have been saying that for decades. And yet we're just supposed to get in line now cause Party Unity. You can't treat nearly half the party this way and expect their support. I'm in California. What I do in the general likely makes no difference. If she's struggling here it's already lost. But she and her supporters are doing their best to alienate a huge number of voters they're gonna desperately need in Nov. And anyone who thinks the General- particularly against Trump- will be a cakewalk has not been paying attention.

What's new is we're not going to settle for the supposed lesser evil because it's become impossible to tell who that might be.

No one has to settle for a candidate that makes them cringe, brings mountains of baggage and promises to be all drama all the time.

Bernie is honest and I know he's on my side...I will never vote lesser evil again.

the longer Bernie stays in the race, the higher his poll numbers go and the lower the anointed one's go. Ergo, it gets harder to sell the fallacy that she's inevitable. Fear motivates them. She's never going to win the GE and I'd be willing to bet they'd rather she lose than give Sanders any say in policy-making.

Of course they will blame us rather than look in the mirror or at their candidate's extremely low positive polling. People hate her. I think it borders on irrational at times especially from the right considering she is more aligned with them.

Sanders' supporters however this plays out. After months of sneering, belittling, and acting as if we were just a bunch of angry and/or clueless hipsters whining for free college and unicorns, at the convention Hillary finally gets to cash in the superdelegates she bought (with money laundered through the "Victory Fund&quot , and she is officially nominated. Big whoop. Now what? After trashing progressives for the whole campaign will she figure out she actually needs us to win? If so, how will she get us back? I expect her to pay lip service to progressive ideals but I doubt many people believe she intends to actually do a damn thing. Or will she just count on fear of a Trump presidency to get progressives and independents to vote for her?
