(43,853 posts)The commercials are on all the damned time. I still don't know what it is we city folks don't get, though.

(5,141 posts)That's why I asked. I was scratching my head wondering where you'd seen that awful commercial. Thank god I don't watch cable tv, or I'd have to beat myself about the head with a ball peen hammer.

The discrepancies between exit polls and final vote counts are too big in Arizona and New York

(13,685 posts)Even if a paper ballot, the scanners are only verifiable if there is a hand count, which they won't do.
the first exit polls showed a 52-48 race. Sounds about right.

(6,476 posts)I haven't found a district map that does what this one does. Apparently Hillary won HUGE...news to me. I thought she just managed to stay viable, and that with a lot of irregularities in the election. Not what I'd call a landslide victory by any stretch.
She had a 30 point lead.....oops!

Jim Lane
(11,175 posts)Obama was a comparative unknown. I assume that familiarity was a big advantage for Clinton.

(28,078 posts)We lived there when I was a kid and it tended to be conservative (at least where we lived) but as bad as things got there I would have thought they'd be looking for something better.
