I'm boycotting Corporate Media until Bernie wins the nomination.

I haven't listened to Corporate Media for over 24 hours and it has done wonders for my mental health. NPR does some great segments on the environment, Palestine, etc. But their political "reporting" is extremely biased and ludicrous, so I only listen to music in the car now.

I believe Bernie will be the nominee for several reasons. We have better supplies of money, volunteers and truth. Of course we must do well in the Mid-Atlantic states in order to be able to close the deal in California, but Bernie will continue to win a majority of states, imo. He is simply a great campaigner and Hillary is a notoriously bad campaigner. She always fades, Bernie always surges at the end of his campaigns.

The one wild card here is Corporate Media. Their lies and hysteria will only get worse from here. Can we overcome all these institutional disadvantages? The only reason we have come this far is because we have consistently overcome the Establishment hurdles thrown legally and illegally in our path. Tell everybody to turn off CM and let's keep fighting back until we win.

Phonebank, canvass, donate. The path to victory isn't easy, but it is simple.

a BBC-style government supported, independent media outlet. PBS is possibly worthy of such funding. NPR is not, imo.

to catch up on the rare segment of other news, wedged in between the all about Trump bombardment and then I return to the net or music or something else.

Usually brought on by a RW mass killing, accident, severe weather. For giggles I plan to watch the Republican convention.

For example, if Kasich wins on a third or subsequent ballot, the Dem convention will have to nominate Bernie or lose the GE. If Trump does not stage a walkout at the convention, we will need Bernie-- not just for coattails (Hillary would have none) but to win the GE. Let's do this!

I knew NY was going to be ugly. I don't mean to say that the Sanders' campaign was going to get clobbered but the small loss was going to be presented as a TOTAL BLOWOUT!!!! And of course it was. I am smart enough to see that Bernie is farther along than Obama was in this point of the campaign and he still won. I am smart enough to see that there are 1400 delegates left in this race and Bernie is going to finish with more pledged delegates. Im not listening to the naysayers, I'm not feeding the trolls, or even reading them trying to poop in my cereal. I BELIEVE!!! I am going to take the position that my fellow Americans want an honest, kind man in the White House that shares American values and works for us and not the 1%. I chose to have faith in that and I will continue to do so until I can't. That will be when it is over and not one minute sooner.

Whenever a news source tries to tell me that it's over, I turn it off.

Bye the way, I am lucky that I can listen to a local Pacifica radio station KPFK. Pacifica is a radio network that receives ALL of its funding from its listeners ; it takes NO corporate money and you can really hear the difference.

Anyone can listen to KPFK online. I assume that you can listen to the others online as well.

KPFK-Los Angeles
KPFA-Berkeley
KPFT-Houston
WBAI-New York
WPFW-Washington, DC

Each station has its own flavor and you will hear people and views that you won't hear elsewhere.

Give Pacifica a listen, Berners. I think that you will feel at home there.

PS Jimmy Dore of TYT originates his podcast, The Jimmy Dore Show, on KPFK 90.7 FM on Fridays from 3-4 PM.PST. It's a comedy takedown of the establishment media with voice impersonations of Harrison Ford, Reince Priebus, and Ted Cruz among others. You can also go to
http://www.jimmydorecomedy.com.

Berners, Join the fun!

Imo, there is no "Mainstream media" anymore. We have mega-corporate entities (six I believe) which have consolidated to such an extent that they only represent RW interests, i.e. their own. Editorial control of reporting subjects, e.g. Bernie blackout, TPP blackout, mean the biggest political bias in reporting now is oriented toward class warfare. Both parties and the Corporate Media are to the right of mainstream Americans who are increasingly progressive and populist, year-by-year. Especially Millenials.

Ad revenue tables slow down. Same with blogs....like Daily Kos and DU.
When you are not happy, to turn on that channel and don't click on that blog. When you click anything, DU makes money. So even when you explain it here, they don't care, They are happier when we go back and forth. More money for this blog running.

Be conservative with your blog clicks, and your TV tuning. Think before you do it. When you here something you don't like, as in propaganda, immediately change the channel. They can see that. They know whey you changed the channel. What made you leave? Less viewers, the ads are cheaper. Get it? Hurt them where it matters, with the money.

It's a 're-adjustment' in our own behavior. You want to look, you want to click and argue....that's what they want. They get more money. If there is no one to argue with, it stops. So does their money train.
Think before you click and tune in!

I have done the same thing, only to include all corporate broadcasting. It feels VERY cleansing to put away the distraction machine.
