(708 posts)It's unreal.
Tipping the balance of the Internet discussion with money.
Does that mean that they can tip the balance of elections?
stillwaiting
(3,795 posts)They have already MASSIVELY tipped the balance of elections in a number of underhanded and very, very dirty ways.
And, we vote on easily hackable machines in many, many places in this country.
Maybe we will organize soon to change how we vote and to change the processes that the Democratic Party uses to keep the Establishment firmly in power in this country. It's unacceptable. And, it's corrupt.

(462 posts)And they know it. They'll monopolize places like this shortly. It will be a complete waste of time to come here and engage. It almost is now. I've got so many on my ignore list. I wonder how many cash Brock checks?

(5,198 posts)they have honed their skills in many other countries, these corporates are masters at regime change and interfering in elections. The left has been way too polite on this matter.

(3,813 posts)To set the matter straight, I consulted this authoritative column on David Brooks:
http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2015/01/david-brooks-only-enjoys-farts-of-his.html
This allowed me to note the difference between right wing, corporatist New York Times columnist David Brooks, and right wing, corporatist Democratic Party organizer David Brock.
But the similarities are alarming. Here is David Brock saying we should all enjoy the smell of HIS farts. All of cyberspace must be filled by only his paid, gaseous emissions.
Not so different after all, those Davids.

"You know Hillary is a crappy candidate when her campaign has to pay people to support her on Facebook and on other social media.

(39,451 posts)to jump into the GE? They're going to have the complete attention of Donald Trump, Cruz, the RNC, the Koch Bros, faux, the hate radio machine. Not to mention instead of arguing, debating with Bernie Bros they will get to argue with white supremacists.
Have a great time Hillbots.

(713 posts)for her to start focusing on the general election. Because then, like you pointed out, she will have the FULL attention of Trump...and he will bring anything and everything up about her and then some probably. Bernie won't have to do it...it will be done for him. So let her gigantic ego think she's got it in the bag...maybe it's working out this way for a reason. She's only opening herself to more attacks from very unscrupulous people.

(9,313 posts)...Hillary opponents are paid to bully and attack so Hillary's campaign can point and say "look how awful his supporters are."
When you watch, you find that some never post a positive thing about Bernie, never post a call to action, never express a positive feeling toward Bernie, they never express hope for change. It's like they are here to do one job. Alienate and immobilize with the force of their attacks and feigned hatred.
I just don't believe that fits the profile of a genuine Bernie supporter.

(31,413 posts)Among the many Hillary Clinton supporters attacked online, superdelegates have been subject to vicious attacks for supporting her. Even the director of MoveOn, which has endorsed Sen. Sanders, denounced this harassment.
In response to these attacks on supporters and superdelegates, Correct The Record is launching the Barrier Breakers 2016 digital task force. While Hillary Clinton fights to break down barriers and bring America together, the Barrier Breakers 2016 digital task force will serve as a resource for supporters looking for positive content and push-back to share with their online progressive communities, as well as thanking prominent supporters and committed superdelegates on social media.

We've handled her paid trolls on DU for a year. Redditors will chew them up and spit them out and the same goes for Twitter. Brock can't win a war online with the people who were born into it. It's impossible and a waste of 1 million dollars.
Bring it, Brock!
