Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumLatest meme, "Bernie went too negative"?
Seen several articles lately, trying to claim how the campaign's recent "turn towards the low road" is what cost him NY, and hence any chances at the nomination.
Of course there's no way to objectively support this, and they won't bother to try. Because they don't need to. They can say anything they want, and claim his loss as their proof.
Much more interesting is to look at the exit polls.

They tied among whites and among males. She clearly did better among poc and women. And obviously among the pro-Wall Street.
He won on trustworthiness and campaign fairness. For what that was worth.
She won on gun policy, suggesting that her recent attacks against him on that have worked.
So I'm not seeing where in these polls that running a positive campaign helps, or a negative one hurts.

(4,667 posts)It sounds like they are asking that no issues be brought up?
There are a lot of issues!
For example, we've all been misled about the real reasons for health care problems.
How could any candidate bring something of this magnitude up without being accused of going negative?

(11,785 posts)Lining up superdelegates before a single vote has been cast is apparently okay. Trying to convince the superdelegates after the primary contest is over and they've actually had a chance to see how good you are at bringing in delegates, money, and enthusiastic voters is "rigging".
I'm not a fan of the concept of superdelegates in the first place, but if we're stuck with them, shouldn't they be assessing which candidate is more electable after they've seen how they stack up in the field? Especially when one candidate is implicated in a pending FBI investigation?

(812 posts)Clearly, they'll play "ends justifies the means" at every chance. But they'll be the last to admit it, so the Ministry of Disinformation will be kept running at full keel, to keep the victim defense firmly in place.

But whenever negative is mentioned Sanders name is the next thing said.
