New FEC Filings Reveal That Clinton’s Donations To State Parties Are Merely Pass Throughs To The DNC

New FEC Filings Reveal That Clinton’s Donations To State Parties Are Merely Pass Throughs To The DNC
Posted on April 20, 2016 by mikethemadbiologist

As usual, the regular prelude: there are good reasons to oppose and support Clinton or Sanders, but bullshit arguments and repetition of campaign propaganda is ridiculous.

Recently, I described how the Hillary Victory Fund, despite the claims of Clinton and her supporters, is not donating money to state parties, but is, instead, using them as conduits to send extremely large contributions from donors to the Democratic National Committee (DNC funds during a presidential year disproportionately go towards the presidential campaign–in part, that’s what part of the fifty-state strategy fuss was about). But there are new releases by the Federal Election Commission (‘FEC’), and they clearly illustrate how supposed support for state parties is being used to funnel money directly to the DNC.

When will the M$M do some fair investigating?

But Bernie Sanders is engaging in fraud by remaining a candidate, asking for and receiving donations and not stepping aside for The Inevitable One's inauguration.

Riiiiiight. Owning a glass house must be one of the most difficult inconvenience EVA!

If she had a broad donor base, she wouldn't need to tap into her victory fund now. Even if the supers don't care about whether this move is legal or not, or ethical or not, I think they will be worried about what Hillary's narrow donor base says about voter enthusiasm for her candidacy.

According to Bernie

According to the Hillary Victory Fund’s most recent FEC report, the vast majority of the money they spent in 2016 – $25 MILLION – went directly towards helping the Clinton campaign itself.

Several Credible News Sources Seem to Agree

Over the weekend, Politico published a report on Clinton's first-quarter campaign spending that largely affirms Sanders's complaint. During the first three months of 2016, the Hillary Victory Fund spent $6.7 million on online ads and $5.5 million on direct marketing, which "mostly looked like Clinton campaign ads," in the estimation of Politico's Kenneth Vogel. The HVF transferred $2 million to state parties over the first three months of 2016. It transferred $9.5 million to Clinton's campaign committee.
