Provisional Ballots Poised To Rock The Vote

Hillary Clinton was declared the winner of New York’s Democratic primary, but the election has yet to be certified. Meanwhile, New Yorkers who voted using provisional ballots wait on the outcome of a federal lawsuit to learn the fate of their cast primary votes. Attorneys on behalf of Election Justice USA and New York’s provisional voters filed an emergency lawsuit on Monday, the day before the New York primary. Though the judge denied the plaintiffs’ request for an emergency open primary in the state, the judge did allow Election Justice USA to move forward on other points in the lawsuit. Those provisional ballots may end up being counted before the election is certified, after all.

Wednesday afternoon and into the night, protesters gathered in Brooklyn, New York, to voice their opposition against what they say was voter suppression and voter disenfranchising. As the protest geared up, the lawyers for Election Justice USA delivered summons to the Brooklyn Board of Elections and the New York State Board of Elections, according to a report from the Young Turks political reporter Jordan Chariton in what is becoming a series of casual, spontaneous live video updates directly to social media on the subject.

New Yorker Mary Trimble said that the alleged voter suppression situation in Brooklyn was even worse than is being reported.
“There were no democratic ballots at my voting station!! They didn’t run out, there were NONE delivered!! That’s just WRONG!”

Brooklyn, New York, Bernie Sanders’ hometown, was reportedly the most badly affected area for hopeful voters. Just before polls closed at 9 p.m., the polling site coordinator of Brooklyn Borough Hall estimated that about one-tenth of all voters who showed up to vote there had been removed by the Board and were unable to vote using a standard ballot. According to the New York Times election results, among standard votes that were counted after the primary, 174,236 votes had been cast for Clinton and 116,327 votes were cast for Bernie Sanders in Brooklyn. From the Clinton after-election party at The Sheraton, Ed Schultz of RT reported, “The results tonight don’t really matter.” Schultz thinks that the provisional ballots and pending audit could even affect Clinton’s Big Apple win.

Nor were there "republican" ballots. There were just ballots. One side had dems and the other pubs. And on the dem side there were six candidates for BS delegates and six candidates for Hillary delegates.

I voted in Queens County. There was Sanders and Clinton on the left, and their delegates on the right. My ballot listed five delegates for Bernie and seven for Her. The instruction at the top was to "vote for any seven" which was unclear at best. I didn't see why I should vote for any Clinton delegates and only voted for Bernies' five.

As long as you didn't vote for more than 7 then your vote for delegates counted (wasn't spoiled). Even if you had voted for more than 7 your vote for the nominee would still have counted. The main vote was for the candidates themselves. That determined how many delegates each one gets. So if anywhere from 50% to 64.3% of the vote went to Hillary she would get 4 of the 7 delegates and Bernie would get 3. Once that ratio was determined by the nominee vote then the top 4 vote getting delegates for Hillary and top 3 vote getting delegates for Bernie would be chosen. Bernie would have to had won the district by at least 78% of the vote to need the 6th delegate and at least 85% of the vote to need the 7th.

Had you voted for 2 Hillary delegates it would have just been one vote to each for pushing them to the top of the Hillary delegate pool. It would not have had any effect on how many total delegates Hillary got.

They fucking better.

And, where are all the Hillary supporters? It's just unfuckingbelievable that they don't care about this. They'll take a win even if they are not the rightful winner, and they will accept delegates that are possibly not theirs.

Where are they? Shitting in private I hope....

Bernie picked up delegate in Colorado that weren't
"his" and I wasn't that upset. I can't blame the Hillary people too much.
