Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is planning to hold a rally in Baltimore Saturday.

The event will be held a 10 a.m. at Royal Farms Arena. It's free to attend, but registration is encouraged. The Vermont senator will be joined by former NAACP President Ben Jealous and actor Danny Glover. Then on Saturday evening, Sanders will take part in a "Community Conversation on Young Men of Color." Jealous, Glover and the Rev. Jamal Bryant will also participate in the event at the Memorial Church of God in Christ in Baltimore.

The rally was initially set for Druid Hill Park, but was moved due to weather concerns.

It will be Sanders' first visit to Maryland since he toured West Baltimore in December, including the neighborhood where Freddie Gray was arrested. There, joined by local clergy, he said he was struck by the lack of banks, grocery stores and capital investment.

"One would not know that you're living in the wealthiest country in the history of the world," Sanders said then. "What you look at is what would a third-world country look like? That's a pretty sad state of affairs. Unemployment off the charts, schools not working, kids getting involved in drugs and ending up in jails rather than having jobs and not having an education. That's not what this country should be about."
