(16,402 posts)[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Spread the word about being properly registered for the California primary before May 23rd! Some people who thought they were registering as "independents" were actually registered in the "American Independent Party," and won't be able to get a Democratic ballot unless they re-register as Democrats or No Party Preference (NPP).
NPP voters then have to ask for a Democratic ballot or will receive a generic one that does not include presidential candidates.
Here's the information from the Secretary of State's website:
http://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/political-parties/no-party-preference/
It's important that voters understand these rules and get properly registered by May 23rd. Please share this information widely!
