(13,305 posts)..that we'll win in November than I am that we'll lose. If we lose then the country will go straight to hell quickly and painfully for a lot of people. I'm not foolish enough to believe otherwise
If we win, in this way, with the candidates that the party has decided best represent us, then this will just embolden and convince the Hawkish, Wall Street coddling, third way, Post-DLC "centrists" in charge of the party that they were right, and they will slowly continue us down a horrifying path of inequality and full on abandonment of the working class, and we will end up without any political party representing the vast majority of citizens and full on abandonment by younger generations who see it as just another group of out of touch insiders concerned only with the beltway cocktail party circuit.
I think you get it better than most.
Well Said!

(696 posts)In that, as we all know, Obama thought he could bring some Repubs into the fold and work with them, or that, they would work with him and be, you know, civil. As he soon found out.....With Bernie, he's been there. He knows how to play the game and is not afraid to put them on their asses if need be. And Bernie has said time and again, he is beholden to his contributors and he WILL come out and tell the people exactly what they need to do to help him get things done.
He's not afraid of the scum in congress. Remember, this is the guy who was the ONLY one to speak out against the war in Iraq. Long before Howard or Obama or anyone else. You'll remember that time. Those days, when every was scared shitless to speak out against anything Bush/Cheney wanted? He was not.
