My apologies....

Not for this post yesterday

http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511865678

But for the language I used in the comments which earned me a hide. A user implied because I went to college, I am obviously privileged (not knowing how I got to college, the toll it took to get there, etc)

Then the comments went way south after I was locked out. Its amazing how two sides can see two totally different things. To them it was like reading Sanskrit and I was a complete loon. And they seem to think anyone who questions the Queen is going to sit out November automatically. Yet our people knew exactly what I was getting at.

Thanks for the help in there but I apologize for losing my mind on one ignorant poster.

you're not the only one! I got hidden the other day myself, I deserved it, foul language.

It's hard to be pleasant when things get so rowdy around here. Ignore is my friend here.

You have nothing to apologize for.

It really does seem that Hillary supporters and Bernie supporters really are from different planets. The divide is often demonstrated to be as wide and visceral as the divide between Republicans and Democrats.

My candidate preference - for Bernie - has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with policies and character.

Next time, don't even try to address them directly. Something about pearls etc.

anyone who gets offended by cuss words should probably stay off DU. So, I don't feel as though you owe me an apology

As far as who understood what:

I used to say to our audiences: "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it!"

I, Candidate for Governor: And How I Got Licked (1935), University of California Press, 1994, p. 109.

I have also experienced a lot of posting that I am all but certain is done in bad faith. So, if a post says X, I don't necessarily assume that the poster actually believes X.
