Republicans for Bernie Sanders

Bernie will be far better at attracting Republicans, independents and the alienated than Hillary. Though, to be fair, Hillary might make inroads among Republican women over 60.

It is a real thing.

Now before you all naysayers say "It's just Republicans who want Bernie to win so they can beat them in the GE!" Well maybe the politicians think that... but not the people who are calling themselves Republicans for Bernie Sanders. I believe that there are lot of Republicans who would actually going to vote for him in the general election.

What is my proof for this? Take a look at that sign in the top there. It's from Vermont. A sign on a rabid anti government person's store. Tea party to the extreme. And guess what... there's a sign promoting the "socialist" Bernie Sanders.

They genuinely did not want him to be president.

I think the same holds true here, only reversed. They DO like Bernie and they want to see him succeed.

There's no chance of Hillary motivating young people to the polls.
There's no chance of Hillary capturing any republican voters, they hate the Clintons with a passion.
So really, all she has is the Centrist middle and whatever progressives she manages not to piss off.

they hear this garbage anymore.

My family were R's for decades and would vote for Bernie if they were alive today. They were nothing like the present psychopathic party.

My mother registered D to vote for Obama in the primary. Mom would love Bernie too.

especially religious folks who aren't totally off the deep end and maybe only started voting repug with Reagan. He can win those folks back.

I think you're correct that Hillary also has pull with mod/conservative women. I know women down here in Texas who call themselves conservative but are pro-choice. Don't know if they'd actually cross over for Hillary but it's possible.

So, it may be a draw in that case.
