http://readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/36816-focus-bernie-sanders-has-already-wonBernie Sanders, with this remarkable campaign, has taken the issue of American political corruption out of the shadows and placed it center stage.
While that sounds like a simple thing, it is a thing that all progressive leaders have tried and failed to do for as long as there has been an American political process. The movement is mobilized, and not a moment too soon.
The Oval Office would more aptly at this point be called The Office of the Empire Manager. The notion that any work of social good can be achieved from the Oval Office is, at this juncture, sadly far-fetched at best.
From that perspective, Hillary Clinton is actually well suited for the office, if you want your empire managed efficiently. If you want the logic of empire challenged at its core, then youll appreciate the scope of Bernie Sanders achievement.
So will Bernie win the battle to be the democratic nominee for president? In truth, it seems like a long shot. Will he win the war against apathy? He already has, in extraordinary fashion.

(3,343 posts)I'd wager any amount of money that apathy is poised for a big comeback. Sure if it's Clinton v Trump 21% of active voters say they won't even bother voting...

(3,343 posts)probably feel that the deck is so stacked against them, and that elections will even be stolen if need be, so why bother... that's the lesson many will learn if Hillary wins... the 1% will do whatever it takes to screw the 99%.

(300 posts)...but the workers of America are still flat on the canvas getting pummeled as we speak. It's gonna take far more than a really good politician or two to truly get us back in the fight. This is not Bernie's fight to win. It is our fight to survive. And our situation right now as the working class of this nation has never been more perilous than it is right now. I don't say this to dampen your spirit. I say this to steel your resolve. We have the heaviest lift of our lives ahead of us. The fate of every beloved generation that may be blessed to follow us lies in the balance.

(32,070 posts)and why they really don't belong in the Bernie group - is that they are saying "you've accomplished a lot, now fall in line". I think this is a "clever" way of infiltrating and trying to make folks feel good as they push Hillary as inevitable.
Sorry, not buying.

(41,600 posts)allow someone like Bernie to get so close to the presidency. The INTERNET WILL BE TAKEN OVER BY THE GOVERNMENT. Guaranteed. Without the internet, there is no more Bernie Sanders campaigns.
He must be the nominee or we're finished.

(2,450 posts)I can't speak for everyone else but the last thing I want is empire management. It's exactly what I do not want.
