Checking In: I, We, Together (Bernie forum)

Last night I got online I watched all that went down at the hands of the NV Dem chair, and was really disheartened by MY party. Reading some of the nasty comments HRC supporters were making towards us, I sunk a little lower.

Hillary doesn't Inspire me in her self-centered campaign that's all about her and driven by her false identity, funded by corporate donors. Her real experience of warmongering and neo-liberalism doesn't give me hope for the future, and isnt representative of democratic values. Her leadership team doesn't give me hope that fairness or honesty will ever win out. Her followers don't give me hope that serious issues will ever be discussed over hero worship, or the needs of our country will ever come before the wants and demands of the elite.

I was set to just log out in complete frustration and disgust with what our party. Then I came in here and started reading all the great things Bernie with some of our other party leaders and most importantly what he is doing with us. Let me repeat that - BERNIE IS WITH US! Standing beside us in the fight for 15. Standing beside us on the picket lines, and not being afraid to name those at fault in corporate greed. Stepping back from the mic, and the spotlight so we can be heard when no one else listens. Meeting with us in quiet when the spotlight doesn't need to politicize every action and conversation.

Bernie Sanders does not forget who WE are when he leaves our towns and our states. He's still fighting for us even whether we voted for him in Iowa, or we are slated to vote in DC or California. He's with us whether we agree or don't agree. If earned our votes, or he didn't earn our votes. He's not afraid to say that we can disagree on some things, but let's work together and fight together where we do agree.

I am Democrat, I am Progressive - and HELL Yeah I AM A LIBERAL. I'm not ashamed of that, I'm ashamed of what my party leadership is doing. The example they are setting. Who here likes weak tea? Not me. I remember the big pushes to grow our party. Rock the Vote! Engaging college students. Now our party is trying to turn their back on them, minimize them. That's not my party. Drawing in Independents, they were always the prize. Now we don't welcome them, we work to turn them away. Turning them away? That's NOT my party! Don't be disheartened, don't feel minimized, don't turn away! We are the base that makes this party great, that gives it life to grow and thrive!

We are the Democrats! It's in our heart, and it's more than an ID card that gives some politician claim to our votes. To borrow the words of Nina Turner, "We reach forward, we reach back, and together we lift each other up." If there was ever a time in your life, People, we are democrats - stand up and fight for your party, fight for every candidate that stands with us. Fight for every vote, fight for the people who can't fight for themselves. Do not settle or allow anyone to take your voice from you, or your neighbor, ever.

I stands alone. Together WE are strong. #HesWithUs #FeelTheBern
