The KY republicans decided to have a caucus this year to accommodate Rand Paul (b/c there is a state law that says a person can't be on the ballot more than one time - so he was on the ballot for prez at the caucus and on the ballot for senate during the primary).

So they voted awhile back on a Saturday for President and on the May 17th primary for the other state and local races. The presidential race was the only thing voted on at the caucus as far as I'm aware. Since caucusing involves more than simply walking in and casting a ballot, I think very few people would go to the trouble to vote uncommitted.

On the other hand, I would expect that democrats would show up to vote for senator even if they didn't want to pick one of the options available for president since it was on the primary day and it wouldn't be a huge time commitment.

The recent governor's race is a good example. How did the machine results stack up with the exit polls? And what about the differences between the results down-ballot and the results in the governor's race?

These machines are being rigged across the country and it's endemic now. Why doesn't some politician, why doesn't Bernie, scream bloody murder about this? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A DEMOCRACY WHEN THE VOTE COUNT CANNOT BE VERIFIED OR IS NEVER VERIFIED EVEN WHEN THERE ARE OBVIOUS INDICATIONS OF MIS-COUNTING?

I would bet a lot of money that Bernie won MA in the primary due to the machine's miscounting. He supposedly won by 17% in the precincts (3% of the MA vote) where paper ballots were hand-counted. He also won in some other states I'm convinced but there are multiple causes in many cases like voter suppression and intentional switching of party affiliation just before the vote.

Pass laws to require the vote be verified and Repubs would shortly be out of business.
