(24,010 posts)...and continued to be wide open to anybody who walked into the house--NO PASSWORD, no cyber security at all--when Hillary's State Department/personal account was added to it.
So Bill's billion dollar deals and projects around the world, and Hillary's State Dept. deals (f.i., okaying military jets to Saudi Arabia so they can acquire Yemen) and other projects and all government diplomatic business, and their personal emails, and (I presume) their email contact with the Clinton Foundation, were all run on the same insecure server, and on one or two computers in the house with no passwords. Bill could just go read what-all was happening in U.S. foreign relations, however sensitive or secret it was, and could move money around accordingly.
That's MY understanding of what I've read, and why Bill is in the picture now. It is the most shocking "privatization" I've seen besides the 'TRADE SECRET' voting machines and the "privatization" of the very counting of our votes. The "privatization" of the U.S. State Department!**
I can't imagine Obama and Kerry NOT being outraged by this, but it may be that TPP is so important, at least to Obama, that he still wants Hillary to succeed him, and not Sanders (who is pledged to stop TPP), and thus will protect her from indictment. But if she is recommended for indictment by the FBI, and he, say, pardons her or interferes in some other way, I don't think the FBI will be quiet about it, and the result is going to be Trump in the White House (seems to be against "free trade" but who knows?). Another result: Clinton garbage thrown on Obama's otherwise scandal-free administration, and maybe even on Kerry, who cleaned things up after she left and has run a by-the-book shop, and who really doesn't deserve to be slimed by this.
What's gonna happen???????????????????????

**(Naw, I take that back. Cheney giving no-bid contracts to "rebuild" Iraq to his buds at Halliburton was more shocking. It really did shock me at the time. My mouth fell open. I guess the utter corruption of government in the Bush junta paved the way for Hillary to think that's how the game is played. Get power and you get to do what you damn please. She does hang out with those people.)

Apparently no one knows if their home computers had passwords. If they did, it would likely have been difficult for just anyone to access those computers who walked in the door or who was a housekeeper or whatever. (A techie might get in, or someone who had stolen the password, and of course outside hacking is another matter entirely.) But Bill would likely have had password access, if they had passwords. And probably others did as well (family, aides).
