Question for Bernie supporters.

Just curious why you are a Bernie supporter.

I know that many of us are a combination of both choices but which one most accurately describes your support for Bernie?

Bernie is the first politician I have ever seen with the CONSISTENCY and DIRECTNESS about the important issues of today -- war, climate change, wealth disparity -- and because of that consistency, I believe he will follow through.

Retrowire stated in another thread that Hillary is terrible by herself, and doesn't need Bernie's help. While it may be true technically -- he can't force anyone to do anything -- what Bernie has done is to REVEAL just how bad she is. A year ago, the "hold your nose" option seemed at least a reasonable possibility. Now, the idea of it feels like succumbing to extortion.

This primary has been so different. Usually it's been a simple matter of, pick the candidate you think best represents your values, to go up against the bad guys in the GE. This primary -- the candidates, the systems they represent, their supporters -- sure feels an awful lot like being in a GE already.

heard him on Thom's Brunch with Bernie on Fridays. I was thrilled when I heard he
was running. It wasn't anti-Clinton. It was pro-Bernie. Clinton was a ho hum type of
candidate. I have no problem voting 3rd party. I've done it in the past and will do it
again if need be.

I believe we are at a crossroads in history, and this election could be as important as 1980 and 2000. (I'd include 1992 but if we hadn't had eight years of Reagan, it's unlikely that Al From and Bill Clinton would have been able to undermine the Democratic Party.)

This is the first time in my life I really had someone to vote for, rather than having to chose the lesser of two evils. I thought Bill Clinton was like that, but turns out, he's scum. Al Gore might have been a good president -- better than what was "chosen" for us, for damned sure -- and Obama turned out to be a disappointment, big time.

So, the man who is walking the right path is the man for me. Go Bernie! I'm feeling that bern, for damned sure.

Last year, I'd given up on the election. Hillary, O'Malley (whom I'd never heard of) and some guy I can't even remember the name of. Yeah. Great choices, eh? Not.
