OUR REVOLUTION Book Tour - Philadelphia Nov. 28 7PM with Amy Goodman

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) will be back in town next month to promote his new book at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Sanders will discuss Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In alongside Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Parkway Central Library (1901 Vine Street).

The former Democratic presidential candidate “shares stories from his recent campaign trail and maps out his ideas to continue the fight for all Americans’ futures” in Our Revolution, according to a news release.

Prior to running against Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, Sanders served nine years in the U.S. Senate, 16 years in the House of Representatives, and three terms as the mayor of Burlington, Vt. In July, Sanders received 1,843 delegate votes at the Democratic National Convention here in Philadelphia, compared to Clinton's 2,838.

Tickets to Sanders’ Philly appearance run $30 and go on sale Oct. 19 at noon via the Free Library site. There will be no public book signings or photo opportunities, the library said this week, but each ticket includes a pre-signed copy of Sanders’ book.

In conversation with Amy Goodman, host of Democracy Now!

Perhaps America’s greatest standard-bearer for progressivism, Bernie Sanders inspired hope and a fervent following with his 2016 Democratic Presidential campaign. Currently serving his second term as the junior United States Senator from Vermont, he was also a 16-year member of the House of Representatives and a three-time mayor of Burlington. A passionate protestor for civil rights and the antiwar movement in the 1960s, Sanders still champions equality for all Americans, rallied against the war in Iraq, and works toward other causes, including income equality, universal healthcare, and campaign finance reform. Our Revolution shares stories from his recent campaign trail and maps out his ideas to continue the fight for all Americans’ futures.
