Sanders to make stops in Brattleboro, Springfield, and Bennington today

By SENTINEL STAFF 4 hrs ago

BRATTLEBORO — U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., will make two appearances in town this afternoon.

Sanders, who ran for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination in 2016, will first meet with parents and staff at the Early Education Services preschool at 2:30 p.m., according to a news release from a Sanders spokesman.

Then, at 3:45 p.m., he’ll visit the Red Clover Commons senior housing complex to talk about Support and Services at Home, a nonprofit organization that coordinates with different agencies to support seniors living independently at home.

The stops in Brattleboro are bookended by two events elsewhere in the state: an 11:30 a.m. College and Career Fair at Springfield High School and a 7 p.m. speech to the American Legion in Bennington.
